College students now a days can’t go throughout their day without checking some sort of digital device. We have the mindset that it’s impossible to live without using technology. Of course it’s helpful when it comes to taking notes in class with an iPad or laptop instead of a notebook. Some professors may allow the use of E-textbooks which are fairly cheaper than buying the hardcover textbook. According to a survey by Wakefield Research where they asked 500 American college students a series of questions, 98% own a digital device and 73% said they can’t study without technology. Studies also showed that students spent $13 billion on electronics in 2009.
